The teeth and slots of the straight bevel gear are both contracted. When milling a straight bevel gear on a milling machine, each slot is usually milled with three or two knives to achieve multi-milling on both sides of the large end slot. Go for some purpose. When milling both sides, it is called partial milling, and the milling allowance gradually increases from small end to big end. The milling part is shown in dotted line in Figure 1. The amount of rotation of the indexing head (rotation amount) during the partial milling is indicated by N.
