Because the adsorption between the soil colloid and urea is very weak, the urea has great fluidity in the soil and will be leached to the deep layer to reduce the fertilizer efficiency. In addition, appropriate control of the amount of topdressing, corn topdressing should be based on soil fertility and planting density.

At present, due to mechanical constraints, mechanical topdressing can only be carried out before the ridge is closed in the early stage of jointing. It is necessary to carry out the necessary modification of the top dressing machine and install the field fertilizer applicator to meet the requirements of field dressing and topdressing. Generally, the top dressing should be applied to the inside of the two rows of corn on the strip. When the amount of fertilizer is large, it can be chased on both sides.
