On October 10, 2013, the China (Beijing) International Offshore Oil and Gas Technology Exhibition kicked off at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. This annual event brought together leading companies and industry experts to showcase cutting-edge technologies and equipment for offshore oil and gas exploration. Among the exhibitors was Sinopec, which presented a range of high-performance drill bits, including oil roller cone bits and diamond drill bits, designed to handle a wide variety of geological formations—from soft to extremely hard rock.
The exhibition, held from October 10 to 12, is jointly organized by key government agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Energy Administration. It also features collaboration with major industry associations like the China Petroleum Institute, China Shipbuilding Industry Association, and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. The event is hosted by Beijing Mesha Exhibition Co., Ltd., and the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, making it one of the most professional and influential marine oil and gas exhibitions in China.
Supported by major state-owned enterprises, including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, and China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the exhibition has become a key platform for international collaboration and technological advancement. Its focus on high-end, specialized, and globally-oriented solutions has attracted widespread attention within the industry.
This year’s event centered around the latest innovations in offshore oil and gas development, aiming to establish itself as "China's OTC" — a premier event for industry leaders. Alongside technical exhibitions, the show featured summit forums, specialized seminars, and product launches, offering a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange, policy discussions, and the introduction of new technologies. It provided valuable insights into the future direction of the marine oil and gas sector, helping professionals stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry.
