Sinopec brings diamond bit to exhibit marine energy technology exhibition

On October 10, 2013, the China (Beijing) International Offshore Oil and Gas Technology Exhibition kicked off at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. This annual event is a key platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies and equipment in the offshore oil and gas sector. At this year's exhibition, Sinopec displayed a range of high-performance drill bits, including oil roller cone bits and diamond drill bits, designed to perform efficiently across a wide spectrum of geological formations—from soft to extremely hard rock.
The exhibition, held from October 10 to 12, 2013, was jointly organized by several prominent industry bodies, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Energy Administration, the China Petroleum Institute, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and Beijing Mesha Exhibition Co., Ltd. It also received strong support from major energy companies such as CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, China State Shipbuilding Corporation, and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.
Known as one of the most professional marine oil and gas exhibitions in China, the event attracts significant attention due to its high level of professionalism, international outlook, and focus on innovation. The exhibition features a combination of summit forums, technical seminars, and equipment showcases, offering a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas, explore new technologies, and learn about the latest developments in offshore oil and gas exploration and production.
This year’s theme centered around the development of innovative technologies and solutions for offshore oil and gas projects, with a goal of establishing “China’s OTC†— a domestic equivalent of the world-renowned Offshore Technology Conference. With its emphasis on industry analysis, policy insights, and technological advancements, the exhibition continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of China’s offshore energy sector.
