Ximengbao's illegal products appeared in Beijing

In the Ximenbao store of a famous home furnishing store in Beijing's North Fourth Ring Road, after opening a pine children's wardrobe, the large enclosed space does not even have a ventilation hole. Ximengbao's wardrobe obviously violates the requirements of the new national standard.

However, in the Ximenbao store of another store, the drawer of a children's bedside table only needs to be pulled out of the cabinet body. The new national standard 5.1.8 stipulates that in order to prevent children from being accidentally pulled off and causing injury, the product's drawer, keyboard tray and other push-pull parts should have anti-pulling devices. This is obviously contrary to the national standard.

The new national standard 6.3 stipulates that if the product has a folding or adjustable device, the warning message "Warning! Be careful of pinching" should be marked at the appropriate position of the product. The warning content is not less than the fifth font and the safety warning font is not less than the fourth Boldface. In this store, there is another Ximenbao children's folding desks and chairs with multiple adjustable devices, but no safety reminders can be seen. Obviously, this product is also suspected of violation.

 

Ximengbao's "Quality Gate"

Ximengbao has a high position on its own brand, but it violates the new national standard. Ximengbao's official website claims that it has won the title of "China's Top Ten Youth Furniture" for three consecutive years. Products that do not meet the new national standard have appeared in Beijing, which undoubtedly added a disregard for the standard to Ximengbao's brand image.

A reporter from the Beijing Business Daily found that ignoring the standard was not the first “crime” of Ximengbao. In the six months since 2013, it has been exposed publicly three times because of its “quality gate”.

The first time was due to a broken bed board-on March 23, 2013, a complaint appeared on the exposure platform of the OK Forum of Maanshan. The complainant said that the Ximengbao furniture that I just bought in November 2012 had only been used for a bed board within one month after being used in March Two fractures occurred, the bed board I saw in the store was very thick at first, but the product delivered to the house was very thin. The third time was moldy products-on July 3, 2013, Xiamen Daily reported that consumers complained that Ximengbao products often get moldy in summer. On July 9, Xiamen Daily reported that "depressed! "Woody furniture is moldy every year" for a follow-up report, exposing the quality problems of Ximengbao furniture.

The bed board was broken, the formaldehyde exceeded the standard, and the product was moldy. Ximengbao's products fell into the "quality door" three times within half a year.

 

Children's furniture has serious hidden dangers

Ximengbao's three-year "quality door" and the sale of illegal products on the first anniversary of the implementation of the new national standard are just the tip of the iceberg of the chaotic situation in the children's furniture industry. The safest children's furniture has become the most serious safety hazard.
