Electrostatic precipitators are widely used in industries such as steel, electric power, and cement. The key component of the electrostatic precipitator is the anode plate. In order to ensure the installation of the anode plate of more than ten meters, the design is called a clip part as shown in Fig. 1. The clip is bent by a stamping piece of 1.5mm cold-rolled sheet as shown in Fig. 2. We have designed a manual simple bending tool in production practice, which is described below.

Bending tooling

The tooling consists of a fixed mold, a rotating shaft 1, a rotating shaft 2, a pressing handle, and a movable mold, as shown in FIG. The pressing shank is rotatable about a rotating shaft 1 fixed to the stationary mold, and the movable mold is rotatable about a rotating shaft 2 fixed to the pressing shank. There is a notch on the fixed mold, which can be inserted into the cold-rolled plate stamping part. The fixed-formed press-shaped part and the notch are cut and cut with a wire, and the fixed-formed pressed part and the movable mold surface are both hardened, leaving 1.6 mm between the moving molds. gap.

2. Bending operation steps

Lift the handle and insert the end of the workpiece into the fixed mold notch (see Figure 4) → press the handle and press the workpiece to a right angle (see Figure 5) → lift the handle, pull out the workpiece, and insert the workpiece into the fixed mold gap. (See Figure 6) → Press down the presser and press the other end of the workpiece into a right angle (see Figure 7). Operation Note: The shaft and the moving mold surface should be well lubricated to reduce wear and avoid over-heading.
