(1) Adjustment principle of respiratory parameters
(1) Generally, 1-2 parameters are adjusted each time, and no more than 3 parameters are used to avoid excessive fluctuation of blood gas index, and it is easy to judge the effect of adjustment.
(2) When adjusting parameters, the parameter should be raised first to lower the condition, while the lower parameter should first lower the parameter with higher condition.
(3) After the adjustment, blood gas test should be done to determine whether the adjustment is reasonable.
(4) The adjustment parameters are mainly based on blood gas test, but must also be combined with the actual situation of the clinic.

(2) Adjustment method

1. Adjustment method for PaO2
(1) If Pa02 has PaC02>50mmHg (6.65kPa) at the same time, increase the inspiratory peak pressure PIP and respiratory rate.
(2) If Pa02>80mmHg (10.64kPa), the oxygen concentration and PEEP should be lowered to increase the oxygen concentration and PEEP. If hypoxemia is caused by insufficient ventilation, the minute ventilation should be increased.
If there is PaCO2>50mmHg (6.65kPa) at the same time, the inspiratory peak pressure PIP and respiratory rate should be increased.

2. Adjustment method for PaCO2
(1) If PaCO2>50mmHg (6.65kPa), the ventilation is insufficient, and the minute ventilation should be increased in addition to the exclusion of the airway.
Use a constant volume ventilator to directly increase the respiratory rate or tidal volume.
Use a time-limited pressure-type ventilator to increase the respiratory rate or inspiratory peak pressure PIP.
(2) If the PaCO2 uses a constant volume ventilator, it can directly reduce the respiratory rate or tidal volume.
