Since the capacitive electromagnetic flowmeter uses a capacitive coupling method to detect the flow signal, the coupled sensing signal is weak, and there is a certain liquid flow noise, and it is susceptible to external interference, and the signal to noise ratio is relatively low. At present, there are two detection methods for the sensing signals: one is directly detecting the voltage of the sensing signal; the other is detecting the current of the sensing signal through the “virtual ground” technology. The commonly used voltage detection method is generally because the coupling capacitance value of the sensor is several tens of picofarads, and the internal resistance of the signal source is very high at the excitation frequency of several hundred hertz.

To detect the signal, the converter circuit needs to have a very high input impedance, generally above 1012Q. Such a high input impedance circuit can easily introduce interference and further degrade signal-to-noise ratio. Therefore, in addition to shielding the interference in the sensor and circuit design as much as possible, the subsequent amplification detection circuit needs a high signal-to-noise ratio.

This paper introduces a cross-correlation detection method in signal processing, adopts a rotating capacitor filter method suitable for electromagnetic flowmeter signal characteristics, and realizes the detection of flow signal with a simple hardware circuit. The prototype test results developed show that this method is effective. .
