On July 7, Xinneng Company, a subsidiary of Guannan County Power Supply Company, conducted training sessions for project managers and safety officers from 23 construction teams to prevent heatstroke and ensure proper labor protection. A "Five Senders" initiative—sending coolness, health, love, well-being, and safety—is now actively underway across the company.
The leadership team not only visited departments to deliver cooling supplies but also enforced strict guidelines requiring all mid-level managers and staff to remain on-site while implementing effective heatstroke prevention measures. Workloads are being managed scientifically to ensure employees have sufficient rest time. When the daily temperature reaches 40°C, all outdoor work is suspended. At temperatures above 37°C, outdoor operations are limited to no more than six hours per day, and at 35°C or higher, shifts are rotated without overtime. All construction units and outsourcing teams must strictly follow these rules.
To support frontline workers, the company has provided adequate heat-relief items, medicines, and beverages. It has also improved food safety in canteens, offering balanced meals with a variety of dishes to ensure employees eat well and maintain good health. On outdoor sites where conditions permit, shaded areas are set up with drinking water stations to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.
In addition, the company has launched educational campaigns to enhance employees' self-protection awareness and skills. Through internal networks, lectures, posters, and pocket guides, they share knowledge on summer cooling, first aid, risk avoidance, and emergency response. These efforts aim to create a safer and healthier working environment during the hot season.
