On July 7, Xinneng Company, a subsidiary of Guannan County Power Supply Company, conducted training sessions for project managers and safety officers from 23 construction teams, focusing on heatstroke prevention and labor protection. As part of the ongoing "Five Senders" campaign—sending coolness, health, love, safety, and well-being—the company is actively ensuring the welfare of its employees during the hot summer season.
The leadership team has visited various departments to distribute cooling supplies and encourage staff. Additionally, all mid-level managers and supervisors are required to stay on-site, strictly implement heatstroke prevention measures, and manage workloads scientifically to ensure employees get sufficient rest. The company has set clear guidelines: when the temperature reaches 40°C, all outdoor work will be suspended. At 37°C or above, outdoor operations must not exceed six hours per day, and at 35°C or higher, shifts should be arranged without overtime. All construction units and outsourced teams are expected to comply with these rules.
To further support frontline workers, the company has provided ample heat-relief items, medicines, and beverages. Food safety in canteens is strictly managed, with balanced and diverse meals to ensure employees eat well and safely. On outdoor construction sites that meet the conditions, shaded pavilions have been set up along with water stations to prevent dehydration and heatstroke.
In addition, the company is enhancing employees’ awareness of self-protection by spreading knowledge about summer cooling, first aid, risk avoidance, and rescue techniques through internal networks, lectures, posters, and pocket guides. These efforts aim to create a safer and more comfortable working environment during the high-temperature season.
